Krishna Subramanian is the Chief Marketing Officer of Velti and co-founder of Mobclix, a Velti company (acquired in 2010). Krishna has spent most of his career growing and nurturing businesses in the advertising technology industry, and innovating entirely new categories like the Mobclix real-time bidding mobile ad exchange.

Krishna is well known for being an innovator, visionary and strategist. He’s founded and led several startups that have been acquired by world-class technology leaders. His leadership has propelled the mobile marketing and advertising industry forward, creating major opportunities for developers of mobile apps and brands that are trying to reach the rapidly growing mobile audience.

Prior to founding Mobclix and joining Velti, Krishna was co-founder and General Manager of new business for BlueLithium, the world’s largest behavioral targeted ad network that was acquired by Yahoo! for $300 million. Krishna also launched MingleNow, the first online social network focused on offline places, events, and people. Prior to that, Krishna was co-founder of Burrp!, a localized review and recommendation internet portal for metropolitan India (acquired by media conglomerate TV18). Krishna was also Founder and CEO of conceptK, a successful internet design services and web content development firm for mobile devices that was acquired by an offshore web development company.

Krishna is active in industry leadership, serving on various Mobile Marketing Association committees and Interactive Advertising Bureau committees for Broadband and Lead Generation, where he created best practices guidelines for lead generation across the education vertical.

Krishna’s insights on mobile and interactive marketing and advertising have been sought after by major business media, and he’s been interviewed by Fox News, Fox Business, USAToday and Bloomberg on numerous occasions. Krishna has written articles about the mobile marketing and advertising industry that have appeared in MediaPost, AdWeek, CIO and Mashable, among other prominent publications. He is a frequent speaker at conferences such as SXSW Interactive, OMMA Mobile, APPNATION, Digiday, AdTech, AlwaysOn, Commonwealth Club, and Communicasia. He also blogs for Huffington Post, iMedia, Adotas, and AdExchanger.
